On Thursday the 2^nd of June 2011 just three (3) days after his Inauguration as the President and Commander in Chief of Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Goodluck Jonathan GCFR received the President of the NBA Joseph Bodunrin Daudu SAN. The NBA President paid a courtesy call to the President Goodluck accompanied by notable leaders of the Bar which include Prince Lanke Odogiyon former President of the NBA, Augustine Alegeh SAN Chairman NBA Database Committee of the NBA, Olumyiwa Akinboro Esq General Secretary of the NBA and Osita Okoro Esq NBA Director for administration.

The NBA President was warmly received by President Goodluck Jonathan in the Company of the Vice President Arch. Namadi Sambo GCON, Anyim Pius Anyim the new Secretary to the Government of the Federation and former Senate President.

President Goodluck had to requests to make of the NBA President, one, that he accept to be appointed Honorary Special Adviser to the President on Legal Matters to his administration and two, that the NBA set up a committee to reform the Electoral Act.
