NBA PRESIDENT PAYS COURTESY VISIT TO FEDERAL ROAD SAFETY CORPS (FRSC)

The President of the NBA Joseph Bodunrin Daudu SAN on Thursday the 7th of April paid a courtesy visit to the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC). He was warmly received by the Corp Marshal and Chief Executive of the FRSC Osita Chidoka who gave him a brief tour of their facilities.  Addressing the Corp Marshal and other officials of the FRSC during the visit, the President of the NBA said he was greatly impressed by what he had seen during the tour, he commended the FRSC for being the least corrupt of the Uniformed Forces. He charged the FRSC to take their place as the leading enforcement agency in Road matters, he was of the opinion that all other agencies should align themselves with and follow the lead of the Federal Road Safety Corps.

The President of the NBA went further to state that the FRSC is understaffed and needs more man power to carry out all its duties which in his opinion should include setting up of driving schools, conducting tests for Driver’s license holders and enforcing steeper fines on offenders to serve as a deterrent. The President of the NBA clearly stated that the NBA is ready to partner with the FRSC in discharging its duties effectively. He invited the FRSC to partner with the NBA in its Criminal Justice Sector Reform Conference coming up in July and it’s Annual General Conference coming up in August, he suggested that the FRSC would take sessions during the Conferences and sensitize the people on what they should do.

In his response, the Corps Marshal of the FRSC Osita Chidoka thanked the NBA President for his visit and assured the NBA President that the FRSC would partner would with the NBA in its Conferences He assured the NBA President that the FRSC is already accrediting driving schools all over the Country, he also told the NBA that they were partnering with State owned Traffic and Road use regulatory bodies to ensure that they carry out their duties effectively and not also be a financial burden to the Federal Government in their need for more manpower.
