“The law must therefore take its course on the Ruler and the Rich alike, Prince and Pauper, Rich and poor. No man must position himself above the law” these were the words of NBA President Joseph Bodunrin Daudu SAN at the NBA Rule of Law Committee one day seminar on the Rule of Law held at Sheraton Hotels and Towers Abuja.

The Rule of Law Seminar was organized by the NBA Rule of Law Committee Chaired by Yusuf Ali SAN. The President of the NBA in his speech congratulated the NBA Rule of Law Committee for organizing the Seminar at a time when it has become necessary for Nigerians to erase the psyche of militarism and dictatorship from our political culture, he noted that a discuss on the Rule of Law is always welcome and timely.

The Rule of Law Committee of the NBA was Inaugurated October 2010 with the mandate to do the under listed:

• Promote the Rule of Law
• Ensure the inculcation of the nuances of the rule of law in Nigerians
• Promote the entrenchment of the practice of the rule of law in the nation
• Promote the observance of the rule of law
• Collaborate with other stakeholders towards the achievement of the above objectives and undertake any other such  things that will assist the committee in its work

The One Day Seminar is one of the Committees ways of pursuing and fulfilling its mandate. The Seminar was well attended by the Attorney General of the Federation Mohammed Bello Adoke SAN who gave the Keynote address and Justice Amina Augie who chaired a session of the seminar.
