The NBA President on the 31^st of August met with the Attorney General of the Federation. The President was accompanied by the General Secretary and Director Administration of the NBA. Prof Akper the special adviser to the Attorney General was also at the meeting. The conversation centered on collaboration on electoral justice and administration of criminal justice. The President also appealed to the AGF to support the NBA with regards to the following bills

• Advocacy for the justice sector bill in the National Assembly
• Conference on criminal justice system in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Justice (FMOJ), Nigerian Institute of Advance Legal Studies (NIALS), the NBA and the Law Reform Commission
• Collaboration between NBA and FMOJ on administration of electoral justice.

In response to point one, the AGF informed the NBA that he had appointed a consultant to the National Assembly in the person of Hon. Chibudom Nwuche former Deputy Speaker Federal House of Representatives.

The NBA proposes to have a meeting with Hon. Nwuche to explore ways of pushing the bills forward.
