NBA Elects a new President

The process of election into the office of the president of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) is one that can be replicated at the 2011 general elections in the country.

This was the view of lawyers who converged on the city of Ibadan to elect the officers of the association for the next two years.


Senior advocate of Nigeria, Joseph Bodunrin Daudu emerged president-elect in a process that lasted over twelve hours. over a 1,200 delegates voted in the exercise.

Chief Joseph Daudu (SAN) was today elected with 718 votes to defeat Chief Joe Kyari Gadzama (SAN) who polled 487 votes, to come second, in the keenly contested election in Ibadan, Oyo State.

Assistant Financial Secretary - Chinwe Nwadike


Welfare Secretary
- Mr. Sule Sulaiman


Publicity Secretary - Mr. Emeka Obegolu


Assistant Publicity Secretary - Mr. Augustine Obi-Afam
