In conceptualising this committee, the Administration had in mind a crop of sound learned gentlemen and ladies who will deal with, on behalf of the Bar, issues such as Access to Justice, pre-trial justice, the availability of cost-effective justice, court management structures and justice sector institutions and their relationship with the Bar. The committee was inaugurated on the 23^rd of November 2010 by the Joseph Bodurin Daudu SAN administration. 

The Committee is charged with the duty of liaising with institutions such as the inferior courts, prisons, police, borstals, non-government organizations that are justice sector related, examine existing laws and infrastructure and come up with the ways and means of modern justice sector management.
